Brother Shipmates,

I am a little late in sharing the good times we had on the 2001 Reunion in Norfolk. Boy did we have a “Great One”.  We want to share a little with those who missed the memories great sea stories that really get salty. I would like to thank all those who made the effort and came aboard to make it work. They were not disappointed and went home with memories that will keep them in the mood for the next one.

We would like to thank the Military Locators & Reunion Services for their efforts in making all the necessary arrangements to assore a Great Time. We had a busy schedule of Trips around the Norfolk area their were to many Highlights  including a cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk and going aboard the Battleship USS Wisconsin BB64 also other trips one to Williamsburg it was packed with things to enjoy. You really have to sign aboard to enjoy all that is there for the memories and good times you can have, with your old salty Buddies.

While we where there some things happened for the better of the Newport Dealey’s Reunion in the future. Our existing Web Page has out grown itself, we had a donation that turned out great. To look into a larger and more professional page will be designed. We have set up an account for the cost of the page, it will soon be introduced on the Internet. With your support The Newport Dealey’s Reunions should be around for a long time. Our goal is to locate all our fellow shipmates. Send your support to me. The reunion for the year 2003 will be in Lancaster Pa. And Chairman Bob Kitchen with assistance from another shipmate will be planned.

We have great plans for the next Reunion, the year 2002 will be held in Charleston So. Carolina date is set for Thursday September 26th  to Sunday September 29th  2002. Place is the Hotel Radisson Charleston Airport, Shipmate John Fry will be the Chairman. We will be there to support him. Things will start to happen after the first of the year for this Reunion.

Keep up the great work in locating new Shipmates. Hope to see you in Charleston on the 2002 Reunion.

From Our House to your House have a Merry, Healthy and Happy
